I think the reason was that people got exposure to variety of cinemas during Pandemic via OTT. This is one of biggest reason that many of us are ignoring.

Satyajit Ray once said that indian audience was so backwards they only wanted to see bollywood masala movie not a real story based movie <br>Bengali industry then was on different level, different types of movies, different concepts

Sirf Bollywood ka nahi Bengali movies ka bhi downfall shuru ho gaya , Being a Bengali I&apos;m just ashamed of Bengali film industry now , just think yeh industry ne International level pe India ko recognition dilaya tha . Movies like Mahanayak , Apu&apos;s trilogy , Sonar Kella are still masterpiece .

All comes down to the thing that people love an underdog rise and the established giant fall. &nbsp; If nothing else, we should be proud that 2024 bollywood gave us Chandu Champion, Maidaan, Kill, Railway Men, Amar Singh Chamkila, CTRL, Jigra etc all either by top stars or top production houses. Atleast we as audience can&apos;t give them the hate to make commercial stuff if Bad Newz is what people watch over Chandu Champion. It&apos;s our choice but they don&apos;t deserve the abuse

Why is it so hard to understand that the real formula of success is a &quot; good story &quot;????

the new generation (talking abt class 6 to mid 30s old) all have seen srk salmaan akshay etc but we dont wanna see the same faces again and again or 20 years of age gap between actor and actress. Ott gave us new faces new script new topics dark humor dark reality it gives us choice like early 70s had given us. masala movies are now 1 time watch.
