China has been experimenting with Tofucrete (TM) for decades, and they have finally succeeded,!

I worked in a concrete factory with 5 kiln running twenty four seven, three sixty five days a year in California. If they can make concrete out of waste products and it’s not radioactive, stronger than what’s used now, well that’s the greatest thing that’s been invented in a century!! The amount of effort it takes to make concrete is enormous, and now its waste can be used to make something better? It’s a no brainer, it’s way cheaper, cleaner, cost effective, it’s an amazing discovery and should be front page News everywhere!

Roman concrete used volcanic ash somewhat similar, and composition means it strengthens with age and cracking. Some places over 2000 years, still viable.

Roman concrete used volcanic ash, sea water, and white limestone as the gravel. When the Roman concrete cracks, water gets in the crack and reacts with the limestone making a very hard calcium carbonate the both heals / fills the crack in as little as 2 weeks and makes the concrete stronger where it broke. Over time many cracks form and heal this way and the concrete gets stronger and stronger...

Please don't demonize carbon dioxide. It is not a pollutant. It is necessary for plant life on the planet. Carbon dioxide piped into a greenhouse increases plant growth.
That said, I see promise in this new technology.
Edmonton, Canada

The pyramids in Egypt have been built from geopolymers.

27:27 I love this shot with the two guys holding the chute from a concrete truck there's no support and there's like hundreds of pounds of concrete sliding down from concrete pump. Pretty hilarious to anyone who has ever placed concrete before!

Back in the old days people did use less cement to build things. Poured basement walls with rocks as filler. Stairs to buildings with a mound of gravel underneath. Steam engine bases with a brick sub base. The point was cement must have been expensive and the goal was to use less of it.

A 200 000 USD grant is waiting for any scientists beginning verification of the alkaline method of braking down granite and then using that "clay" to form the granite into any shape one wants. The limestone is easier, it does not require the acids to boil. This might explain how the seams in the pyramids are just perfect. They were not stones quarried with traditional methods, but using the naturally correct chemicals containing stuff in Egypt, they dismantled the granite into a cement, and then reformed it in molds to the proper shape in situ. I might remember some details wrong, bear with me. See the video with title "Everything you Wanted to Know about Stone Softening". Although he says it is not softening, it is dismantling the molecules in the stone with the right alkalines for the job.

While all you say is true by itself it's out of context. There is a way to make a circular economy involving cement, take the lime stone, put it in an electric kiln powered by non-fossil electricity, also take some of this same non-fossil electricity to electrolyze water and the CO2 emitted from the cement, into CO and O2, release the O2 into the atmosphere, take the CO and H and put them into a Fischer-Tropsch reaction system, inputs limestone and carbon free electricity, outputs cement and synthetic hydrocarbons useful for plastics, running farm equipment or airliners.

Italcementi made the same product till 2023.
Since then, it has been controlled by the German group HeidelbergCement—which held 96.3% of the capital and subsequently became Heidelberg Materials.
