As a Singaporean watching this I must say while this is a crazy idea that most of us may probably not do but yet I give him huge credit for willing to take the plunge and just go for it.
This is life sometimes you must be willing to make the big step up in order for your dreams and ideals to become reality. While it will be daunting, terrifying and be a mammoth task, if you are disciplined and have the commitment and conviction to carry it out then you shall see success coming.

Not sure how is it for you now Edwin but I wish you all the best. I could say no more but work hard, press on and surely the blessings will come.

Since Edwin can speak and write English well he should definitely aim for that niche to market to English speakers who are traveling. Hope he can share his business name soon and wish him the best with his journey

Very resourceful guy.
Rare nowadays for locals from that country.
Willing to do jobs that many locals like him shun and take on the challenges.
If there were more locals like him, his country would not have to relied on so many foreigner workers!

Lately, I've been getting tons of questions about akiya (yes, those mysterious empty houses in Japan) — and also about my random life adventures here. So I figured… why not make a video next week to answer everything?

Whether it’s about akiya, my life in Japan, turning an abandoned house into a ninja dojo, or why I keep getting chased by wild deer (long story)… drop your questions below!

I’ll pick the best (or weirdest) ones to feature in my upcoming YouTube video. Make it juicy, make it funny — or just make sure it doesn’t get me arrested. 😅🇯🇵🏠

but 6 months, in a new territory, with a new language - is a very short runway to see if the business will succeed or not. Good luck Ediwin. May your mental health be strong and steadfast!
