The Wizard of Westwood, who was criticized by local newspapers during his unprecedented run of winning college championships b/c his teams weren't quite as dominating as they were the season before.....I do think he's being a bit unfair to Magic (I'm a Magic lover but a Laker hater), Magic made the players around him better, and he was a team player....but there also was a long-standing rift between Magic and Jerry West (which extended to Phil Jackson) relating to (IMHO) the seamier side of Showtime, and Jackson having a fling with a female member of Lakers' mgmt. He was dead right about the Big O (and ironically, Magic says he patterned a good deal of his game on Robertson) Los Angeles has been blessed to have one of the premier basketball tacticians, many of the game's best players, and the game's most skillful announcers working for them
