  10 years in a high pitch hissing sound normally doesn’t bother me but here lately it gets louder at times I pray one day it just stops

  74 yr old female, started decades ago with steady ringing after rock concerts and now varies between high pitch ringing to chirping crickets.

  I was thinking my fridge was making a high pitched noise at night?<br>Untill the power at our house was switched off! It was in my ears!!😅

  72 years old.Very activ person.Never sick and problem with ears.Two weks agou diognoset with tinnitus on left ear.Panict.Consttant noise. During night more and more.Lost sleeping.

  This is Pete - I&apos;ve had tinnitus for years, and I&apos;m approaching 80. The sound is a constant high pitch whine.

  I&apos;m almost 69. I&apos;ve had tinnitus since I was 14. The noise presents as a very high pitched constant noise. I know exactly when it started. Immediately after attending my first concert (Leon Russell) my ears were ringing SO loudly that it drowned out my actual hearing for 3 days. After 3 days it quieted down to the volume it remains at today. &nbsp;It&apos;s constant, never changing. I do prefer to always have some sort of background noise - tv or radio, to drown it out. Sometimes it is more noticeable, sometimes less, of course, if my environment is very quiet/loud. &nbsp;It doesn&apos;t bother me much in the emotional sense but it would be nice to experience just the sounds that are actually there and to NOT have to always have something playing in the background. I will do the exercises and all the other recommendations - vitamins, dietary changes, etc. Hopefully I will get some relief. If not, well, at least I tried.   I am 85 and had tinnitus for years and it doesn&apos;t bother me at all. I would still like to experience silence once more.

  Male, nearly 80 years, have high pitch non stop ringing in both ears for the past 20 years in the right ear but got worse in both ears since five years after some very stressful events events five years ago , and worsened by doing full week of night shift work every month for the previous 15 years.<br>Your explanation is very thorough and practical. <br>Until now nothing has worked, and I have learned to live with it without getting &nbsp;emotional or angry about it. I take it as a message that my system has been trying to send to me personally.<br>Many thanks for the practical steps shown.
