I rewatched your interview with Michael Brown the other day, where he said the program/ software created by Astrea, 1000 Genome project, should be further tested to see if its likelihood ratios can be 100% relied upon. Which I thought might be a fair point cause we don’t want another “Theranos machine” so to speak. And this DNA debacle just further bolsters the fact that you can never trust anything or anyone 100%, even something done in a certified state lab.<br><br>And if you remember, he said Astrea is not a forensic lab, it’s a research lab. And a lot of ppl say we shouldn’t outsource DNA evidence to 3rd party private labs for crime solving. But Missy Woods worked at a state-run accredited forensic lab, and look what happened.

She was avoiding hard work and said the samples were too small for testing. Then she could finish faster and look more efficient than her colleagues.
