🏝️ The New York Church Planting Story: Starting from Scratch ● Pastor Yong-Jo Ha’s Exhortation and the Journey to New York: During my time as an associate pastor at Onnuri Church, I heard Pastor Yong-Jo Ha’s unconventional exhortation—to “pioneer a greater ministry on your own”—as the voice of God. I then set off for the heart of New York, where I had no connections. ● My Wife’s Emergency Funds and Solitary Training: After marriage, I used the emergency funds my wife secretly saved—10,000 or 20,000 won at a time—as seed money to go to the United States. I began my ministry by enduring a year without pay. I expected people to gather quickly due to my experience in praise ministry, but for the first six months, not a single new member registered. Worshipping with only eight congregants, I underwent God’s refining process, painfully realizing the “preciousness of a single soul.” Since then, the immigrant church has grown to 130 members, and I have achieved the miracle of also serving as a pastor for a church for native-speaking Americans. 📖 'JUM Bible Reading Plan,' Perfected Through 6 Years of Verification ● A System for the True Revival of Believers: Pastor Moon Jung-woong envisioned a church where the pastor's sermons do not merely remain a good source of worship, but where individual believers personally read God's Word and drink from the wellspring of grace on their own. ● 6 Years of Blood, Sweat, and Tears of Refinement: Unlike typical reading plans that mechanically divide chapters, this plan is designed to help maintain a consistent daily reading volume and ensures that each book of the Bible runs precisely on the last day of every month. It is a ministry-optimized system that the pastor personally read, verified, and refined every day for a full six years. ● 5-Year Cumulative Record System: Along with the daily Bible reading volume, this plan includes spaces to write short prayer requests and thanks for each year under the scripture passage for the same date, allowing you to visually track how your faith and family have grown over time. ⚙️ 'Bible Reading-Linked Ministry (Rail Ministry)' Where the Entire Church Moves as One ● 100% Synchronization from Dawn to Sunday: From the senior pastor to the lay members, the entire congregation reads the same text from the Bible reading schedule; the message read that day becomes the sermon for the dawn service, and the text read during the week becomes the sermon text for the main Sunday service. ● Analogy of a Train on Rails: Having the congregation read the Word in advance during the week is like laying solid rails on the pulpit. This allows for the immediate delivery of treasures from the depths of the Word without wasting time on basic background explanations, enriching sermon preparation. ● Simultaneous Elevation of Spiritual Levels: As the entire congregation spends the week sharing the same Word, the spiritual atmosphere and the language of sharing within the church shift entirely to being Word-centered. It has been proven that even established mid-sized churches experienced healthy recovery and revival when this system was applied. ** 🥩 Testimonies of Great Reversals Brought About by the Power of the Word ● The Parking Lot Husband’s Conversion to Become an Ordained Deacon: There was a non-believing husband who initially sent only his wife and children to church and waited in his car in the parking lot until the service ended. As this husband began reading the Word following a Bible reading schedule, he heard the voice of God and finally experienced a complete conversion, becoming an ordained deacon who serves as a pillar of the church. ● The Miracle of Exploding Sales and Sunday Closure: To properly practice his faith, this new believer husband moved his restaurant near the church and made the decisive decision to close the shop on Sunday, the day with the highest sales. However, far from seeing a decrease in sales, the restaurant actually prospered even more than before, leading to a powerful testimony of the living presence of the Lord. 👁️ Reading the Bible with the Five Senses to Awaken the Spirit and Body ● During the pandemic, the Pastor personally read the entire 66 books of the Bible aloud and uploaded them to YouTube (Moon Jung-woong TV) so that congregants could listen at any time, even while doing the dishes. ● In addition, every Thursday, we gather with the congregation to quickly read through one book together and share the experience. We are continuing the "Five Senses Reading" ministry, which mobilizes the spiritual senses corresponding to the five physical senses to erase distracting thoughts and allow us to be fully governed solely by the voice of God within the Word.
