I've really been looking for other composers who deal with Crucial to know their different experiences with them. I've been with crucial since April 2021 and I have 15 tracks in their catalog now in 2023. They're super friendly with composers. Dan Waldkirch is an amazing person to communicate with and he answers any questions you have.

I can say the only way to get as many tracks accepted in their catalog as possible is to work hard to produce good high quality tracks. This will ensure they'll accept all of the three submissions at once. My last and previous (total 6) submissions were all accepted together and I had only 9 tracks before that. This really speeds things up and you guarantee that you have many tracks there for pitching and more chances to get placements. It's a number game! Of course, they have high rejection rate which in my opinion proves that they're genuine non-excl. library and they don't accept anything. I wouldn't be with a library that accepts any quality. You just keep feeding them quality music, submit, forget and write brand new 3 tracks.

I was in the same boat when I had no clue what genres of music Crucial actually wants, but again, Dan answered all my questions. I mostly write for hybrid orchestral/trailer genre and my tracks are really getting warm welcome in their catalog but I also have a total of 45 rejections.

So, despite they take long reviewing your submissions, if you send them good quality music to guarantee the acceptance of all 3 submissions at once, it would be way better. And btw, the other downside is they also take another long time in sending you the contract and processing your wav/aiff files. Getting the submissions accepted together is a huge time saver on every level.

I wish their website wasn't looking like it was made in the 90s though :)
