  I was in John Denver's road band from 1974 to 1979. I would recommend that  you listen to three of his songs back to back to back.  He called them his unofficial departure trilogy: "Goodbye Again," "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and "How Can I leave You Again." He was a genius songwriter. He wrote "Annie's Song" in 10 minutes on that ski lift.

  My grandmother's name was Annie. My grandfather was a tenor in a Welsh male voice choir and often sung this for her. It always brings back loving memories of them. Thank you for this Seb.

  Sebs,  I gotta tell you, I'm in my 60's and have been watching you videos for probably a couple years.  I have looked at other music reaction channels but to me their reactions seem too much affectation.  Your reactions seem genuine and sincere to me and I appreciate your appreciation for my generations music and the talent it contains.  Thanks for your channel.

  Can you imagine being Annie? I know that ultimately their marriage didn't last, but she will always have this amazingly beautiful song to remember what was in his heart.

  I've been to a lot of concerts over the years from BeeGee's to Queen & The Eagles, etc, but it's John Denver that impressed me the most. It was 1980 in Bismarck ND.  no warm up band. And he started on time... Approx 1 hr later, the band left and took a break. But he stayed on the stage all by himself. They came back after 15 minutes or so. He sang & played for 2.5  hrs  straight with no break.  RIP John. ❤

  Without a doubt, this song is something that should be played and celebrated by everyone who hears it. The words are so simple on the surface, but woven throughout is his impeccable timing and understanding. His kind won't come this way again.
