  I once worked in Norsk Hydro's magnesium plant in Porsgrunn, Norway. One factory hall used 400.000 Amps (and 6 volt). The crosssection of the "wires" (massive aluminum) was 1.2 sqm. The magnetic field stopped the second hand on my quartz watch when I got closer to the "wire" than 1.5 m.  We wore rubber boots (wet floor due to salts), long underwear plus full work clothes. Airtemps up to 125 degrees C. I drank up to 8 liter  each shift (2.5 hours effective work time) and ate salt tablets. Filter with mouthpiece most of the time. Thick, yellow chlorine gas was a byproduct, and some of it leaked out.

  Hey, Mehdi, you should cover &quot;electromagnetic field welding&quot; EMW. They use a high power magnetic field to slap metals together so fast they weld. There&apos;s very little coverage of it. But it&apos;s cool enough to share!

  Hey electroboom! Microwave transformers are inefficient because they saturate. I found an equation that lets you calculate all the different stuff to optimize your transformer: [ V = √2 × π × f × N × A × B(max) ] and i used tbe values of my old MOT(~24cm², ~180turns, ~220V, 50Hz) and saw that B reaches ~2.1T ! Thats why it saturates! The voltage is too high which requires a too high flux to counter-act (according to lenz&apos;s law and faraday&apos;s law)... and i saw that the easiest way to make it highly efficient and work like an actual power transformer is to connect 2 MOTs in series (their primaries in series) to mains, which basically halves the voltage and the flux density, which makes it in the range that the core can handle (~1.1T)!
