  Haley&apos;s story arc is so upsetting because it is much more real than we all want to admit. We got used to the idea that all characters should end up their stories with flying colours, they all made astonishing careers, got Nobel Prize and made perfect matches. And than Haley&apos;s story downs us to earth....

  Alex’s ending was the most upsetting to me personally not Haley’s. Haley’s was predictable considering how adamant Claire was about protecting her from early pregnancy. But Alex had come from such a long way of coming down from her pedestal and opening up emotional to genuinely be happy even with someone who she doesn’t see as her intellectual equal and for all of this to come crashing down and for Haley’s leftovers !!!!!! I’m surprised the writers weren’t harassed

  Luke Manny and Dylan probably would all work for Claire in the Blinds store, then the three of them would start some kind of buisness together , like an indoor outdoor/ &nbsp;roller rink indoor outdoor Go karting Or something .

  I think they had to demote Haliey&apos;s progress for the benefit of Claire&apos;s story of breaking generational trauma of her moms disapporoval of her. It&apos;s very unfortunate that they couldn&apos;t come up with a story to show both Claire&apos;s and Hailey&apos;s growth. But even then, Claire abandoned a lot of her own growth when Hailey announced she was pregnant.<br>Sure, Hailey pregnant makes sense if you wanted to show Claire and Phil to be grandparents, extending the &quot;Modern Family&quot; family. All the other kids were simply too much younger.<br>Dylan coming back was literally &quot;We need Hailey pregnant, which actor is available to come back?&quot; and too obvious in retrospect, and whenever Hailey is with Dylan, she regresses back to her younger self.

  It would have been nice if Alex became a lawyer or something, maybe a real estate lawyer , her Dad could have done some funny Dad daughter work ethics comedy
