I like this line. “I did not know for certain. I only thought that a man who spends his day dealing with difficult things would not want someone hiding the bitterness with sugar. It speaks to me. Also, she separated the problem from the people.

Tremendous story. I like that she observed before she began to streamline changes. I loved it when Victor recognized her worth. I enjoyed that the huge storm brought them together. I was hoping for a baby bump at the end. The story has so many lessons, but I think the greatest one is that we should never judge a book or person by their cover or their physical traits. Character and kindness matter more. 🥰🥰
