  the reason dumbledore knows about the plan for draco to kill him is because dumbledore's name is mentioned WHILE dumbledore has the deluminator. You forget, one of the magic aspects of the deluminator is it lets you listen in to conversations where the OWNER of the deluminator's name i smentioned. This is how Dumbledore knew a LOT of things. by mentioning his name he's able to listen to people in the vicinity where his name was uttered. this aspect later works for Ron. The first time Ron's name is mentioned after he departs he tells them that he was able to hear snippets of their conversation and able to apparate right where they were...which also explains how dumbledore is able to appear RIGHT where he's needed...whenever one calls out to him for help...he's there ebcause the deluminator. NOT because of chocolate frog cards.

  I completely agree regarding the wormtail theory. There’s no way that Voldemort would just take his word for it. If anything, he would force him to come along so that, if Wormtail had lied to him, he would kill him on the spot.

  Somehow Draco does not come across as someone who would collect Chocolate Frog Cards. If he did, you could be sure to tear up any Dumbledore cards that he got.

  I always thought the deluminator had taboo magic on it and the rightful owner was able to hear when their name was being said. And that’s how dumbledor knew who was speaking about him more then the chocolate frog cards

  Another option for Ron's ability... his chess pieces are hand me downs so they had years of experience to teach Ron the best methods. That plus practice he is able to play with all that knowledge he picked up from his chess men

  JK has specifically said Snape wasn't a Vampire. Which is a shame cuz its a great theory. I've long believed most of these.

  I remember seeing a short clip (with Rowling doing a bit of voice-over on it). &nbsp;She claimed that she never meant for Snape to be a vampire, but shows a scribbled drawing that she did of Snape, around the time she started writing the books. &nbsp;She admitted that it looked a bit like Count Dracula, so she wondered whether she <b>did</b> subconsciously think of him a bit that way.<br>I only saw the clip quite recently, and it is bugging me now, because I can&apos;t remember <b>where</b> I saw it!

  I think the more parsimonious explanation for wormtail is that he stayed outside as a sentry to ensure Voldemort wouldn&apos;t be interrupted before his work was done. &nbsp;Heck, there might have been other death eaters around Godric&apos;s Hollow too.

I mean nowadays 11 year olds become chess masters everywhere, and Ron had 2 obsessions other than food, Chess and Quidditch. Plus just cause Mcgonagall was a transfiguration master doesn’t mean she was a great or even good chess player
