I am a teacher. Subs are not required to have credentials. The only requirement to substitute is a high school diploma and a fingerprinting check. The reason for the lack of credential requirements is because of the shortage of teachers. Even with very little credentials; our substitutes would never be that calloused to a student being injured like that.

What angers me to the point of absolute rage and fury is that if an adult did even one of these things to another adult it would be an assault charge, but because its children, and on school grounds, it's just "kids being kids." Make bullying a felony and charge bullies as adults.

Everyone is yammering on and on about the substitute. Yeah, her actions were reprehensible. However, the real villians are the three monsters who nearly beat Aaron to death. They're not children. They're attempted murderers.
