  Good video as usual. Nice explanation of the sunken float paternoster. It’s always a bit of a quandary as to whether to move swims and drop in on a fish or stay put and let the pike come to you.

  Greta video again Duncan. Its been bloody hard work here on the Broads. The water temperature hasn't moved much above 3 degrees for the last couple of weeks and its been stupidly high air pressure. The band of cold weather should move off next week so I will be back out in my boat on my favourite Broad. Fingers crossed, the big girls will start hunting around...! Hopefully you will find a few bigger fish. Cheers...

  Hi Duncan, enjoying your videos and the fact there not just promoting a tackle brand.<br>Could I pick your brain on a couple of points?<br>I&apos;ve started to use a small dumpy float adapted at the bottom to &nbsp;attach a large run rings above the sunken float which sits on the surface &nbsp;(still waters only) this gives me great visual bite detection even though it looks a little prehistoric.<br>1) is it best to inject your dead bait with air &nbsp;or pop up &nbsp;foam when using this &nbsp;method.<br>2) the best way to hook a dead bait when using this method. Still waters and river.<br>Thank you for your time and I&apos;m now going to try and develop a method of fishing the paternoster without any resistance so far I&apos;ve tried making an up trace threaded through a 3&quot; boom and securing a swivel by means of two rubber beads either side to which I connect my rotten bottom.<br>I&apos;m Sure I&apos;ve seen seen this method in a book called the predator becomes the prey year&apos;s back.

  Hello I am not sure how far to have the sunken float from the bottom . The depth in the river is between 10 to 15 ft

  Thanks for the video! <br>Question: <br>Why/when would fish the sunken float rig instead of just a normal paternoster with the float on the surface in the flow? <br>Im struggling to see the advantage in having it sunken.. hope u can educate me.
