As someone who plays 40k IRL once or twice a week, but doesn't use (dont have the additional time) TTS...these videos are very helpful 🙏

17:12 as someone new who has yet to play my first game, this is really interesting to me. Like if in chess people could set down a marker so they don't forget about that bishop in the top left of the board.

great tips, love the idea of leaving 1 model worth of space inside a ruin to bait an opponent. I feel like a skilled player is definitely not going to take you up on that offer very often though. also, had not considered sticking initial objective holders in transports to start the game to get extra movement. That's pretty cool.

One thing i havent seen anyone mention, if a unit inside a transport cant disembark within 6 it just straight up dies. If you're able to that then you get rid of any scary threats and remove a few hundred points for free

Important for the Dog Bone thing:
If the enemie manages to kill a Single Model, everyone dies until you have less than 7 Models in your Unit left.

Fun fact you do not have to dog bone with 28 mm models and with 5mm between each model (can be 6 but a 1x2 Lego brick is 5mm wide ) you get 25" line with 20 bodies

This is a very informative video and is well made and put together.

My sympathies are with the comments that the tactics used are very game-y and sort of defeats any idea of immersion, but this is specifically a video about winning and assumedly in a competitive tournament sense, which is where the focus of 40k is as a game at the moment (whether we like it or not. I don't, but that is the truth of it.)

So I would like to be nuanced in my take to say well done, Tortoise.

Really hoping that 11th simplifies melee a bit... the majority of these tips require hyper precise movement and positioning to just barely skirt around rules interactions

12:15 basically don't consolidate your Hormagaunts into Skarbrand, it is a no no moment
