I agree about 'Love You Live'. I used to dislike it when I first got into the Stones, but it's grown considerably on me ever since. I really love 'Black and Blue' too, so that's probably not a coincidence.

Request: There are numerous live versions of their most iconic songs, almost too many to keep track of. How about ranking or sorting out the best versions of those individual songs, separate from the live albums as a whole? In other words, what would be recommended live versions of, say, 'Happy', 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' etc. Your take on that would be great.

Nice job ..Ya Yas is the Stones best live album of all time and the best live album of all time in my opinion. Every track is better than the studio version with the exception of Honky Tonk Women. I just miss Jimmy Millers cow bell opening. May he RIP.

 Great show.
Another demonstration of your vast knowledge and wonderful collection of Stones CDs and LPs.
I loved how you recommended which version was best, the bootleg or the official version, and the rationale behind your advice. Incredible collection and the opinion of one of the most knowledgeable people on all things Stones.

Alan, you are absolutely killing it these days! Your Stones collection is MIND BLOWING. If I am going to listen to anyone about the Stones it would be you, as you appear to own almost everything they ever released, plus a huge archive of bootlegs. Unreal. That live at the Wiltern looks super cool. And I really want that from the vaults release from the 81 tour! Well done Alan, you covered a ton of ground in 30 minutes. Respect!

I'll never forget going to see Still Life in the cinema back in the day, I've mentioned that story before. I continue to be in awe of your Stones knowledge and love, biggest Stones fan I know of anyway. Great effort on this one, always interesting my friend, keep up the awesome content.

A lot of people do not like Love You Live, but I love how loose they are and Mick's screwing around. It just sounds like they are having a lot of fun. Wish I could go back in time and be there for the Ya Yas show.

We are all very lucky for how much they have opened the vaults in the past 15 years or so
