Very underrated channel. You drop information most people are changing mortgage/rent money for. Thank you

Have been living in Morelia for 5 years. We have a beautiful 3 bdrm/3 ba home in a nice neighborhood, rented for $400 USD. The best move ever. I've done a couple video with Mexico Relocation Guide too. Be safe!

Historic downtown even old colonial houses facade and inside the patios have old quarry pink stone that's naturally abundant in the area!

Years ago a religious white guy from the United States lived in small town called Ario De Rosales is about 100 kilometers from Morelia. That man did a lot of good things for the poor kids.

Well-balanced, honestly refreshing. So, so unlike the other expat "Move to Mexico" and "I Love Morelia" promotions. Good work!

Thank you, Troy! My partner and I visited Morelia this summer, thanks to your videos! It's the perfect place for us! Have you done any videos on some of the different colonias around Morelia? That is something I would be very interested in. Thank you for your thoughtful insights on this beautiful city!❤

Thanks for the accurate video. I’m in Morelia right now studying Spanish and I agree with everything you said. I agree that if a person thinks they’d like to live here, they should embrace the local culture, learn Spanish, etc. I know some expats who live in large gated communities in Puerto Vallarta and Ajinic (Lake Chapala) and have never learned Spanish. They might as well have retired to Florida. There is nothing like that here. Your neighbors, shopkeepers, contractors, etc will all be Mexican, and very few speak functional English. One positive (for me) is that this is a very multi-generational city. There are many Universities, so lots of young people (but definitely not a party town), and there are lots of young families in the parks.

Great!!!!! video, thanks Troy!! Everything you mentioned about who might prosper in Morelia was a check ✅ for me. I don't want to be in gringoland, I want to speak beautiful Spanish with the locals all day long and integrate into the community. I want to volunteer for schools if they need ESL as I'm an ESL teacher, I want to work with animal groups if they need it, wherever I'm needed. I just want to be with and around la gente, I believe you get out what you put in and I'm ready to return to the country of my heart. None of the cons you mentioned phased me so that's good. I think it's a big benefit that I do have that Spanish under my belt. :)
Thank you again! I'm a new subscriber now 😊.

This is good information. Beyond Mexico's largest cities, such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, there are several provincial cities that offer an excellent quality of life.

Cities like Querétaro, León, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, and Aguascalientes are more industrialized, with strong job markets and commercial activity. It is true that Morelia is not known for heavy industry or high-paying corporate jobs. Instead, it is a family-oriented and peaceful city. You could even say it is a magical place where time seems to stand still.

Among Mexico's provincial cities, Morelia might be one of the most beautiful places to live or visit. In fact, many people say that its Historic Center is the most beautiful in the country. Its rich culture, history, and colonial architecture make it truly unique.

One of Morelia's greatest advantages is its location within the state of Michoacán, one of the most beautiful states in Mexico. Michoacán is home to 10 Magic Towns, many of them surrounded by lakes and stunning natural landscapes, located only 20 to 40 minutes from Morelia. This contributes to the city's pleasant climate, which remains enjoyable for most of the year.

Additionally, beautiful Pacific beaches are only about three hours away by car. Michoacán is also highly competitive in agriculture, and Uruapan is known as the avocado capital of the world.

In conclusion, if your goal is to enjoy a high quality of life, Morelia would certainly rank near the top of the list.
