This is one of my favorite running shoes; I have about 400 miles on a pair right now. I would 100% not use them for anything other than running. The foam itself is interesting because like you said, standing around they feel unstable and wobbly, but they actually feel a lot more firm and stable when you run in them. I actually can't think of any good running shoes that would be appropriate for daily wear, and vice versa.

Also, I'm not sure outsole thickness is correlated that much with durability for running shoes. It depends on the material. These are still usable after many hundred miles, but there are some other compounds that start wearing way earlier even though they're thicker.

It's not the YouTubers who love these shoes, it's the marathon runners.

I just repeat what others are saying: these are NOT sneakers, these are running shoes, therefore they very different purpose. You know, snowboard boots are also not good for walking...

You really need to separate the Running influencers from the Casual/Fashion influencers because runners like Ben Parkes etc judge them on their intended use case which is, no surprise, running, and moreso uptempo type running than jogging/slow running. Like you, they wouldn't recommend these for casual/walking either. When these were first released there was no confusion around what use case they were intended for and who they were marketed to. It's just that fashion influencers jumped on them and they gained a following.

It's for RUNNING not casual. Their positioning/marketing of the shoe is wrong. Running anything under a 10min mile makes a significant impact on the legs and body. The shoe was made for impact absorption and rebound at speed, not walking. These should be seen more as a tool for running than a lifestyle shoe. Just garbage marketing.

Adidas officially listed it as a running/walking shoe. I only use it for walking and feel very comfortable. I don't think I get an injury from the shoe at all.

Please don't generalized YouTubers, there are running shoe reviewer YouTubers and sneakerhead YouTubers and their takes are totally different.

Ive just ran over 1000k in my evo sl and have only just started going through the grip. Best running shoe ive ever had. The foam still feels good too.

I use running shoes and high stacked shoes (and sometimes with carbon plate) for running AND walking, and I much prefer them rather than just casual shoes (like Adidas Original line, or nike air forces line). Whenever me and my wife are out on vacation and we walked alot, I'd use something like Adizero Boston/ Asics Nimbus, and my wife would use a Prime X2, and for us, they're the most comfiest shoes for walking long distances. Maybe it's just my body has adapted so much to the running foam I guess. Neither me and my wife has back/feet issues, and we've been doing this for more than a decade.

Just because it doesn't work on you does not make everyone else is wrong.

These have become my favorite daily trainers for running. I definitely wouldn't wanna walk in these daily for the same reasons you mentioned. I don't think any of the well-known running shoe reviewers have recommended these shoes for walking either. It's usually the lifestyle shoe reviewers think they look good and somehow recommend them for daily use, SMH.
