I’m not a farmer but live in rural Illinois spent my boyhood summers working for farmers. I don’t know it then but man it was great. Worked for a small dairy farmer milked maybe twenty cows. Did tillage with a 2294 case baled hay with a 1170 and a 656. Worked for another guy did tillage with an 8630. That erie glow of the guage backlighting and the incandescent field lights almost brings a tear to my eye man. There is nothing like being in a sound guard with a full moon a full thermos and a whole field in front of you god bless my friend keep it up

I’ve got a 3940 in the shed! 2rn. Dad bought brand new. Had the 4430, now the 7800. Awesome unit!

I love corn silage season. The sound of the chopper and the boxes clattering thru the fields, and the smell of fresh cut corn silage, it should be a Yankee candle for men lol. Love your chopping combo, looks like it's right out of a Deere advertisement

That corn looks pretty good considering how dry it's been. Good to see the silo back in action.

Good Wisconsin farm channel yt recommended to me. When I lived in more or less central Wis years ago there was a farm I would drive by every day going to work that bad a big blue Badger harvestore style silo still standing. First I heard of the brand.

Man, I miss filling silo. I even miss filling the trenches. I always thought the more you could put up as silage, the more you could automate and the more you could let your machinery do the hard work. We went from filling a 12x35 and baling everything else to chopping about 900 tons and making small bales for calves and dry cows.

I remember using gehl wagons and setting the wagon in high gear and still wasn’t fast enough for the blower with corn silage

Chopper looks a lot like the one we had on the main farm that we used only for chopping hay

Really nice video. Whole rig was dialed in. West central Wisconsin here. Originally from very NE corner of Iowa. Family farm still in the family 60 years later.
