I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Japan. The first ink you showed us is named "Grape-dyed Gown" after the world's first long novel, The Tales of Genji, written by Murasaki Shikibu in around AD1000. In the story, Genji, a nobleman, selected the color Ebi-iro (grape color) for his wife.

I have the Tag Stone road of Gion and Kyo-iro inks, it’s a strange ink but I like it. Watery, unusual, for us ink crazies, worth a try. I would love to visit Japan one day.
