🚨 If a UK Officer Says "I Saw You on Your Phone" — Say THIS (6 Points, or Your Whole Licence)

Half a mile later an officer at your window says six words: I saw you on your phone. Most people's first instinct is to say "I only checked the time." Since 2022, checking the time is written into the regulation as using it. That sentence is not a defence. A section 49 notice needs permission in advance, has to be in writing, and gives you a period to comply. If you are ever handed one, do not refuse it — speak to a solicitor. Comply, never resist. Refuse consent, never a lawful order. If they take the phone, do not grab it back and never delete anything on it. FREE HELP FIRST.
