URI Encounter | The Hunt for the Killer of 50 Policemen | 34 Rashtriya Rifles | Maj Pawan Kumar, SC

Major Pawan Kumar, Shaurya Chakra (34 Rashtriya Rifles) reveals the untold story of the Uri Encounter — the operation that eliminated Kashmir Valley's longest-surviving terr0r!st, just 2 days before the first anniversary of the Surgical Strikes. Uri Sector. 3 AM. Pitch dark. Drizzle and snowfall on the LoC. An ambush party of 34 Rashtriya Rifles picks up suspicious movement. A burst of fire. A body drops. The mission looks over… But the backpack lying on the ground was a deception. The terr0r!st was alive — changing positions, firing from one boulder, then another, making one man look like an entire group. A 15-minute firefight with no end in sight. Then Major Pawan Kumar took a split-second decision that changed everything — he crawled out of his position, moved behind the enemy in total darkness, and from barely 3 metres… ended a 30-year reign of terr0r. The man he neutralized: • Kashmir Valley's longest-surviving terr0r!st — active since 1990 • 50 recorded killings of policemen • Mastermind of the 2016–17 mobile tower attacks • 10+ infiltrations across the LoC — never once caught • Being sent back as the new H!zbul Muj@h!deen chief to revive terr0r!sm in the Valley One officer. One grenade. One decision — and the spine of a terr0r revival broken. In this raw and candid conversation, Maj Pawan Kumar, SC also shares: His journey from a Hindi-medium school in Churu, Rajasthan to the Indian Army Cracking CDS & SSB in his very first attempt — with borrowed shoes Seeing a swimming pool for the first time at OTA Chennai Why he chose the legendary Jat Regiment His first encounter as a young officer — 5 terr0r!sts neutralized Battlefield wisdom every corporate leader must learn The X-factor that makes the Indian soldier invincible This is not just an encounter story — this is the anatomy of a mission, told minute by minute by the man who led it.
