  Most houses have 2 ground sources though?...the ground rod and the water main is usually connected...that water main is just like a ground rod in the the ground...please explain why this is

  my Felicity IVEM5048 inverter off-grid inverter is giving me a really strange problem when I tried binding neutral/ground. I tried binding neutral and ground in AC distribution panel and inverter threw an error and it went offline. so, I opened up AC distribution panel and I discovered that voltages on Live and neutral wires are reversed, that is neutral wire has 230V and live is 0V. I am using one probe of the DVOM on the ground terminal in AC panel and other probe I place on live or neutral &nbsp;so that I can measure the voltage potential. <br> <br>In AC panel Live brown wire is wired to AC breakers and neutral blue wire is wired to a junction block with all other blue wires. So, I thought, maybe these 2 wires are reversed at the inverter. nope, they are good, connected correctly. <br> <br>So, I did another test, I intentionally reversed the live and neutral from the inverter at AC distribution panel. Now brown wire that connects to AC breakers should be &quot;live&quot; and blue wire should be neutral, right? guess what? nope! Blue wire (neutral) in AC panel is again live and brown wire is &nbsp;0V so it in neutral. <br> <br>Strangely, the inverter is somehow preferring that neutral wires in AC distribution panel are live and live wires are neutral no matter how I flip the wires. Inverter somehow does flip its live and neutral output so that blue wire (suppose to be neutral) is always live. can someone make any sense of that? Any ideas how to do some additional troubleshooting?

  Hey, I responded to a question you wrote on one of my videos. You asked how long after we installed the gasket on the Mazda 3 did it start leaking. I responded that what my brother saw was actually engine oil so I think the gasket was prob ok after all. Then I went and deleted my pinned message warning people not to use the gasket, but when i did that my response to you dissappeared so thats why im writing it here.

  Be careful most meters are bonded at the pole or meter. You can ground the boxes but not to the neutral only to the box.

  Hello great video, I am new to solar and have a question. I have 10 panels setup in my backyard, series connection. &nbsp;I installed a combiner box and ran the ground from my combiner box right to my main house grounding rod. I then ran the ground from the solar panels to the same grounding rod. Do I need to run the ground from my solar panels to the combniner box 1st and then to the grounding rod instead of both directly to the ground rod?

  It&apos;s said that modern Hybrid Inverter&apos;s grounding is switched on when Off-Grid and the grounding relay cuts it Off as the Inverter goes On-grid!

  My problem was I had a single phase 230v L N inverter and a 230v split phase american mini split and I couldn&apos;t figure out how to make that work so I&apos;ve took that inverter back and got one that I can use the split phase on
