As a Vols fan, I didn't expect our young quarterback to win that game. I told my wife that I would be happy if the Vols played tough enough to avoid being embarrassed. Mission accomplished. As we all know, the Vols QB is young and needs time to grow. I believe that the coaching staff knows this which is the reason that they have leaned on the run game. Oops...THEY COULDN'T RUN THE BALL. The O line could not pass protect or run block. These are the lessons that the Vols must learn from and improve going forward as the QB gains more experience.

To put my cards on the table Tennessee fan here. Why was Tennessee offensive woes because TX defense was that much better, but TX offensive woes was because TX O-Line? Not giving TN defense credit is disrespectful to our defense and what they did on the field.

It was a good ballgame, and a great example of “its all about the line of scrimmage.”

Texas was the only SEC Away team that won Saturday.  It’s very tough to win Away games in the SEC.

That was a packed house on Saturday in Knoxville at Colin Simmons Stadium

As a Tennessee fan, I am always disappointed with a loss, but I am glad we did compete. I hope we are close to turning the corner, but we have been here before. I never really worry about the offense, so I am glad the defense stood up.

I think Brandons toughness was answered...people don't realize he rushed for about 70 yards or so, but lost 70 plus yards on sacks. He would be the leading rusher...brutal game for him I bet he's feeling it today.

I don’t think people are giving Tennessee enough credit. Just because manning didn’t pad his stat line doesn’t mean that Texas’ offense is garbage. That Tennessee defense is ran by Jim Knowles and they came to play.

TN was playing with house money. Both teams hung tough in a rock fight. I could see them meeting again. Congrats Horns. GBO

I was very impressed with Faizon. He’s barely 18 and committed no turnovers and managed the game better than I imagined he would.
