I work with a guy who used to work at parchman for 9 years. He definitely had some stories and would speak on the history of the place

@tarshamil: Sorry to hear that your relative is still there. Please explain what he said about the conditions still being the same as it was that long ago. This country will pay a steep price one day.

My great Uncle Ray and his buddy Claude were wrongfully convicted of a murder and ended up at this place.  This video sounds just like the stories they would tell about it.

This is sickening and abomination, God bless all that went and lived through those horrible times in this country, God you are the only one who can free those who went and are still impacted by this country and have been impacted by this horrific treatment with the government and the politicians who still have hatred towards blacks in this country, some are secretly racist and evil. We know who they are, but they never apologize for what they did to our ancestors and their descendants have suffered from this, it's a generation curse.

It became unlivable because the habitat wasn’t allowed nor made to maintain it as their precedor built it … that part was rebuiltation in its self although they should been paid .. today wrong doers have to pay their parole fees for years after they are let out else they go back… just as wrong now as then still cruel punishment

Seems like from a constitutional point of view, the convict leasing program should be unconstitutional based on the fact that you pay your debt to the state in which you committed the alleged crime. Because you don't owe a debt to outside contractors, it would seem like  Contract or convict labor should be limited to state only projects.
