  The way Hollywood tries to frame the muslim world as &quot;sexually backwards&quot; when there are even Hadiths about sexual wellbeing that are super explicit even by today&apos;s standards has always been so baffling to me. Heck, there is literature that dates back to the Abbasid Caliphate that is very erotic and includes things such as lesbian couples. Sexuality has always been part of our history as humanity, but &quot;civilized westerners&quot; seem to be uniquely obsessed with it.

  This movie infuriates me so much. its so damn insulting. But, the whole Samantha situation really upset me. I live in Canada, and if a couple acted like that in public people would be just as upset. There are laws about lewd behavior in the west.

  The scene at the dinner table feels like they&apos;re watching animals in a zoo. Also, funny they&apos;re laughing at the burkini. I&apos;ve seen the exact same garment of clothing advertised to wealthy white women as uv protection to help with anti aging.

  As a meat lover, I very much agree. I think a lot of people, especially in the US, are very weird about meat, unsettlingly unable to engage with how they get their food but not letting their disgust at what they&apos;re eating stop them from eating it. I find the process fascinating and cool, but so many people are DESPERATE to never see how their food is made, the life that is lost to feed their own lives. And it tracks heavily with how they treat other humans, too. Out of sight out of mind, reap the benefits and never think about where it came from or what was lost to get it. Which is very relevant to the &quot;feminism&quot; of this movie.
