  The best "weapon" in the game is the hidden "joke" weapon that is basically a "Kung Fu book" where you use super fast deadly punching fist. You can find that Kung Fu book in the second level at the neighbours house in one of the bedroom. Jack will  say "Ooooh, I know Koooong Foooo!" when picking up the book where his hands got dragon tattoos.

  Why old "bad" games are enjoyable nowadays is because there's a lack of charm in 99% of modern releases. Games like this have something, they weren't trying to just shit out slop. It was a genuine attempt.

  "Fun" fact; there's a game that plays almost identically with a lot of the same assets called Day of the Zombie. It's actually worse than Land of the Dead, if you can believe that.

  I always share a story of when i first played this game I was about 8 years old when my mom got it for me, but I couldn’t find the starter rifle and 'soft' locked myself (I was a stupid child). So, I called the video game department at a Hastings video store (kind of like Blockbuster, but cooler) and got in contact with the man (16 year old kid)  at the game counter—who, as far as I was concerned, was THE  video game expert why else would he have a job at the video game counter—where I could find it.  i'm pretty sure he looked up the manual on the computer and very patiently helped me out best he could. I hope he’s doing well lol.

  I let my friend borrow this game back in like 2008. His Xbox told him "you must insert this game into an Xbox console on order to play it." Literally gave his Xbox an identity crisis

  The radio broadcasts found in the game are still a core memory burned into my brain....The theater level was absolute peak.

  In 2007-9 you&apos;d be surprised how many people said &quot;Left 4 dead? Isn&apos;t that just Land of the Dead?&quot; Somehow everyone played it once but no one ever really talked about it

  I was deep into the modding scene for this game on PC back in the day. I made several custom maps and animations for a total conversion mod called Dead Epidemic. I owe a ton of credit to this game and its developers for releasing devkit tools for getting me into game development. Something I have continued into my adult life!<br>It really isnt anything special but at the time there really wasnt a lot of good zombie games planted in a more realistic setting. I was playing this game for years until Left 4 Dead came around and everyone in the Land of the Dead scene migrated to that and LOTD kinda faded into obscurity. I recently found a repository someone from the modding community made that collected nearly every custom multiplayer map made for this game and I found a couple of my custom maps in there. It was quite a weird feeling playing those maps nearly 2 decades later... Anyway, great video!

  This was one of the last games my wife played before she passed. Maybe I’m nostalgic, but I’d love to go back to a simpler time. A time when I grabbed this game from a future shop for 8$, shared it with my homies, played the coop horde &nbsp;survival and fell asleep watching my wife play. I miss simpler &nbsp;gaming, I miss her even more.

  I really wish we had more singleplayer exploration zombie games - like NMRIH but with a dedicated campaign focus
