Everything is just too expensive nowadays. I remember all my 1/4rth scale statues costed about 400-600€ each. Now it's 800-1000€, the cost of an old 1/3rd scale statue. It's impossible.

Me and my friends got out of collecting statues and 1/6 scale figures. We have been collecting for 15 years. I personally sold every statue except for one. My friends are keeping there's. I have moved onto Lego. I enjoy building them and they display well. The statues that are coming out look great but I lost the passion for collecting them. It's not that they are too expensive for me. That's what collecting is about to me. Passion.

That's the problem with companies like XM that outsource their products to intermediaries. As a consumer, you're always scared that because XM is doing poorly financially, the intermediaries can't convert your pre-orders, NOR refund you because they themselves are having a hard time being refunded by XM. So your money just ends up "lost" so to speak, for possibly years.

I absolutely love this hobby. I've been in it for around 15 years. My first ever piece was a Bowen Gladiator Hulk statue, about 17 inches tall. I have collected many pieces from many companies since.. currently I have a few Queen studios pieces, including the 1/3 scale Hulk coming in the next couple of weeks, and I have lots of ecc pieces and a couple sideshow pieces. Sorry for rambling on I'm just very passionate about the hobby. It would be heartbreaking to see it actually die off.

I stopped my statue collection years ago when the sideshow prices suddenly doubled for no reason.
