Anne of Cleves was the luckiest of his wives. She ended up with 2 homes, her ladies and money to live a good life. She became free woman able to actually live her life. Also became good friends with the king, invited to court. She had good standing with his kids. Lucky woman

I'm usually not a fan of reenactments in documentaries but the skit that introduces Anne of Cleves was incredible

if you want to really understand how Henry turned into a monster I suggest "Mind of a Tyrant" - David Starkey, excellent documentary.

There are numerous inaccuracies, but the end summary (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZiel2wCEPA&t=3022">50:22</a> or thereabouts) is extremely accurate - it was in spite of Henry that any good happened in his reign. He was vain, spoilt, arrogant, selfish, and generally a horrible person.

Overall, this was very good and informative. I'm surprised that the execution of Empson and Dudley very early in his reign wasn't mentioned. Also, didn't Henry receive a Papal dispensation to marry Catherine of Aragon? Lastly, the fact that Catherine Parr narrowly missed execution was omitted.<br>I must say that I find it disturbing that Ann Boleyn is portrayed basically as pursuing Henry with her 'feminine wiles' when in fact he was aggressively pursuing her. She even left court on numerous occasions to go to Hever Castle to get away from him.

Jane just didn't live long enough to piss Henry the 8th off. Much like Emperor Palpatine he feels once you're usefulness to him has worn off you are to be discarded like so much garbage.
