By George, it be the Duke of Claret, not immune to the occasional hangover.

I'm always impressed with how, at such a young age the amount of power and responsibility they had back then, I don't think we fully understand the mindset of people in the middle ages and how quickly they had to grow up. For some life was certainly short and brutal. Cheers Kevin another good one.

Imagine having so much and still being so discontent that you betray your own flesh and blood repeatedly... I can never wrap my head around how casually these people in power were willing to harm and kill their own family. He could have just sat back and enjoyed his life and wealth without doing a single thing to deserve it, but instead decided to get involved in affairs that put his life at risk repeatedly until he lost it in a horrible way. Its strange that the throne is so attractive even to people who are in a position so similar to it. I mean, you are a duke! You have a small country worth of land that you are the absolute master of. Outside of one other person, you are basically the ruler already, so why risk it all just to climb that extra step? its not even like medieval kings exercised absolute power. They were still heavily limited by the power of their nobles who seemed ready to rebel at the drop of a hat. I'd understand if the position was something like the Egyptian Pharaoh or Roman Emperor where you had absolute power, but medieval kings seem like they had far less power to be envious of.

8:42 Land disputes can really get ugly and still divide up families today. It's why I hate funerals. Greed really shows ppl ugly sides.

How much of the wine did he drink while being drowned in it, I wonder? And what happened to the rest of the wine after they hoisted him back out? Do you suppose they went on and served it at supper that evening? Questions, questions.

Drowning in wine has to be far worse than drowning in water. The alcohol content would burn your lungs and make it far more painful than it otherwise would have been

I cant help feeling that even if the final charge was trumped up, you cant say he didn't have it coming.
