  Astonishing  to see how this speech was received at the time. Today those words: "blood, toil, tears and sweat", and "a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the long and lamentable catalogue of human crime" are legendary.

  What makes a great man, knowing you are flawed, knowing you are human making mistakes. Churchill made many errors Galipoli for one. But he learned and God blessed him and created a British saint! A true legend! The greatest Brit that has ever lived!

  The funniest part is that Chamberlain and Halifax were about to sentence the United Kingdom into eternal lonelyness, because if they entered into peace negotiations with Hitler the only real ally they would have left was the United States, in fact, my father who is an expert in WW2 said that Chamberlain doomed the British Empire into collapse by allowing Germany to anex Austria and the Sudetenland (Checoslovaquian territory with german minority), which would pave way for the invasion of Poland, remember that the British Empire was bankrupted because of WW2 and gave up colonialism as a result of that

  If it wasn't for churchill I believe Great Britain could have lost the war.  Even before the United states entered the war.
