Yeah, this is the game where George Karl was criticising Jordan for fading away from the rim and not being an attacking offensive player and coming from another UNC basketball alum, Jordan took that personally and took it out on Karl, yet again, more motivation for #23 while being on top. I mean you get bored dominating everyone and sooner or later these games just became great work-outs for the Bulls and challenges to see within themselves if they can maintain.

The motivation coming into the 1996-97 season was to see if they can be dedicated to win back-to-back with this group while also winning 70 games again or more while everyone was saying this team was old and all of those guys took the challenge because the Bulls from 1995-96 to 1997-98 was about showing those new young teams/players that they had a lot to learn about championship basketball and respecting the game. A combination of Pistons and Bulls with savvy vets who had been throughout the league was deadly.

It’s insane that when Jordan retired in 98 he had a career average of 31ppg with his last season being the same as his rookie year with 28ppg 😵‍💫

"I had no problem with the Glove". This was the game that pretty much proved that MJ was right.

This iteration of Jordan was so amazing to watch. He basically had all of his athleticism, but he was so technical with his footwork and his knowledge of the game was so advanced.

I bet these old playoff games on YouTube are getting more way more views than present day NBA 😂

Everybody keeps saying "if they'd put Payton on Jordan", just take look at this game! MJ scores 45 on him here, averaged 30.1 against him! 😂

That NBA on NBC theme brings me right back to Christmas day as a kid sitting on the floor right in front of the TV watching the Bulls

I remember this game well. The shot MJ makes over Kemp at 22:20 is one of my favorite Jordan moves—Kemp is all over him and it makes no impact.
