That flaming sword at the gates, is also a sign of God's love for his creation, his people, that he stands guard to protect them from all that is outside. And even after sent out of the garden, in so many ways, so many times since, he showed his love again and again. Even in your version, there is love.

The more and more that I studied about the garden of Eden I almost wonder if it was a realm on Earth, I've heard so many different Bible scholars the word gardenin Hebrew and other ancient religions. Also I have a theory daddy current Rivers today that we call the Tigris and Euphrates are not the rivers of old and had different names. A part of me almost wonder if the garden of Eden was a physical place if it was actually on the 4 Rivers of the Nile River.
