I understand Karen not feeling dudes barking in the audience in a certain context but this motif became symbolic in Black culture. It can mean brotherhood tenacity and even loyalty and has definitely been represented in the music over time. You got "ATOMIC DOG", a 1982 classic song by the founder of Parliament Funcadelic, George Clinton, Arsenio Hall had a peanut gallery section of his audience called "THE DOG POUND" then Snoop Doggy Dogg associated with Daz & Kurupt of "THA DOGG POUND",ya got Caribbean dudes singing "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT" barking in the song. "THE QUE DOGS" are a Black fraternity started at Howard University in 1911 and of course we have the late Earl Simmons aka DMX who was known to bark and even growl on a song. (Karen reads this and says, "I still don't like the barking") 😂😂😂
