  The fact that a “favorite parts” compilation is nearly an hour long (for a series that only had 11 minute episodes and 3 seasons) really speaks to the quality of this show

  I'm just so happy with how it ends. They could have easily ended it with Orel arriving home, drunk, belt-in-hand, his family terrified as he has become just like his dad. But no. He keeps his faith, he still remembers his family, he has a loving wife, kids, and a dog. And... he's happy. Despite everything, he's wound up good, not repeating the cycle of abuse his father did. And honestly? It's one of the most uplifting endings I've seen to any piece of adult animation, heck, any piece of animation ever.

  honestly makes me so sad that Bloberta and Clay were joking with each other in the very beginning of the show. knowing where their relationship ends up is so depressing

  This show aged like fine wine. It shows that Christianity can be easily corrupted by people in power who are also suffering from their own personal demons, while also showing that people with different faiths aren&apos;t entirely wrong or even the corrupted faith is wrong either. It shows that being kind to one another is the true way for us to live in harmony but that will sadly never happen so instead be a bright spot in someone&apos;s day.

  My favorite line in the series is Orel’s off handed “That’s not Shapey” after he’s been swapped for another child for several episodes.
