The fortifications and Kastio castle in ston were commissioned by the republic of Ragusa(Dubrovnik) in the 14th century to protect their valuable salt pans. Renowned master architects like michelozzo and juraj Dalmatinac contributed to their design and expansion Mr King, all the best!!
