  I remember reading a really interesting spinoff event in which the Devourer escapes and is easily killed by modern military weaponry, the implication being that while it spent centuries waiting in that pit humanity had evolved into the superior monster.

  The foundation should move the door in front of the giant Angels guarding gateway to Eden.<br>Might as well give the devourer a challenge the second it&apos;s loose.
