  I can&apos;t help but feel bad for doomguy. &nbsp;for as powerful as he is, he is only ever seen as a tool and even treated as such. &nbsp;Whenever the &quot;Good Guys&quot; are done with him, they just force him to sleep and put him away. &nbsp;He never gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor and is forced into a life of battle with no actual rest outside of what is essentially hibernation mode.

  The Father, Darklord, and Sam: Incredibly in depth backstories with numerous twists and turns.<br><br>Doom Guy: They killed his bunny, so he killed god.

  The only way The Father is a real &quot;villain&quot; is by not having destroyed Davoth&apos;s life sphere when he had the chance. Davoth, as tragically unfortunate as his story may be, was becoming tyrannical and cruel in his search for his creations&apos; immortality. Also, the Khan Maykr is a great example of what happens when someone&apos;s immortal for too long, they go fucking crazy.

  The Slayer made a copy of VEGA and destroyed the Father&apos;s life sphere.<br><br>The life sphere destruction was a reset button on the Father&apos;s essence, keeping it safe from Davoth and the Mykrs.<br><br>The Slayer is pissed at King Novak.<br>The Father may now be pissed at the Slayer but VEGA might be a cleansed Father..

  The story may have many incoaistencies, but turning &quot;God&apos;s&quot; fate into being a computer program powered by Hell (IntHell Inside) was probably the most interesting aspect of all of this. Doom Guy&apos;s motivations and character development are a little weak, but it&apos;s a fun game that did everything right in terms of updating the franchise to new hardware.

  Oh, it makes sense now why the Icons Of Sun don’t truly die unless sealed away with The Crucible Blade. They are the physical embodiments of his rage and I’d go so far as to say extensions of himself directly.<br><br>Why? Reality shifts around Davoths presence, just as it does with the Icons

  the idea of a god turning itself into an AI for the purposes of doing more is honestly a stupidly compelling one IMO
