On driving in Vermont, I said there are three things you find there: 1. Whenever you go down a hill, you will soon be going up one. 2. No matter how fast you drive, there is always someone behind you. 3. If you see a sign “Red Light Ahead,” when you reach it the light is always red.

I've lived in Vermont my whole life. Pretty spot on. Lots of trees, cows and small mountains.

I have been living in Vermont my whole adult life, and I am now nearly ninety. Let me assure you that Vermont is in no way insane. Vermont has helped me discover my deepest sanity. It's a strange thing about other people's value judgements.

The Batten Kill, Battenkill, or Battenkill River is a 59.4-mile-long river rising in Vermont that flows into New York and is a tributary of the Hudson River. It is the longest Hudson tributary on that river's east. As "kill" means a creek, the name "Battenkill River" is pleonastic. The mouth of the Batten Kill is in Easton, New York, and the source of the river is in East Dorset, Vermont

Many in Vermont consider Lake Champlain their west coast. Lately, Montpelier had problem with flooding due to rainstorms or defunct hurricanes. The state is beautiful!!

Vermont is a place by itself. Lots of trees. Lake Champlain. Nature at its best. Nice and peaceful. Sorry that unemployment is so high. Perfect summer place to visit. ❤❤

FYI: Watersheds drain north into Lake Champlain and east into the Connecticut River. But the extreme southwestern portion of Vermont's waterways drains west into the Hudson River. Specifically, the Wallomsac, via the Hoosic and the Battenkill Rivers

I know all the elements you have shown. One fun about Vermont is that every point in every direction is a good photo, most states have notable scenic sights but Vermonts beauty also includes development and human shaping.
