I want to be clear — I haven't talked to Connor and I'm not leaking anything. This is just my read. But I'll tell you what I said in this video: if I was playing in any country and my wife got death threats, I don't care if I had a 100-year contract. I'd be gone. That's not disloyalty to a city. That's being a husband and a father first. Where do you stand on this? Drop it in the comments — I want to know what you think.

No Winnipeg Jets fans in Manitoba are sending death threats.  there is no way fans are doing that, these are not Jets fans.  Also rumors are that he would accept a trade to Montreal...this makes no sense.

I never realized that's why Hellebuyck wanted a trade. I don't recall seeing anything in the news about him and his family receiving threats. I can't believe some people would go that far to threaten someone or a family over a game. That's really sad. As a Canadian I am really sorry thst him and hus family is experiencing that or has had to experience that. Bryzgalov quote, "Why you heff to be mad? It's only game." And I say that to the fans delivering threats. Like really, Why?

Also I’d like to say every goalie I ever played on the same team with was special.  Even with all the pads you got to be some kinda crazy to be standing in front of the puck when they drill it at you.  Hahahaha. I hope he gets to play on any team he wants he’s a crazy good goalie.  I wish he was on my team.

Ask for the trade protect your family if that’s what you need to do but come on man if it wasn’t about winning or living in a better place that no trade list would be a lot smaller

If Connor Hellebuyck wants out of Winnipeg so badly, his no trade clause needs to become null and void. Because that no trade clause handcuffs Winnipeg from trying to grant is trade demand. And if this really is just about receiving death threats against his family, then why are zero Canadian teams on his little trade list? Because the bigger issue for him is getting out of Canada, not just Winnipeg.

The threats were allegedly from individuals in Toronto and elsewhere in the country. They were made online, not at the local Safeway or Starbucks. That being said, he wants out of Canada, not just the Peg. Understandable 100%.
