The whole "if you don't do the main quest, one of your Bound has to do it and falls ill" thing makes complete sense for the Bachelor and the Changeling, but it's REALLY hilarious when all of the Haruspex's Bound are children. If he doesn't get his shit together, an eight-year-old has to do the daily tasks of a massive adult surgeon.

The reason there's only one kidney per person is because everyone's already sold one. Economy and all that

The fact that the advice about Nina is the most replayed part if the video implying people went back to remember it while playing the game makes me really happy

One thing that Hbomb didn't bring up much but that I feel is crucial to understand about the Pathologic experience is the AWFUL FUCKING CITY PLANNING

This game's map was designed to be as infuriating and maze-like as feasibly possible. The streets are odd and twisting, and there are fences EVERYWHERE. I can't count the amount of times I showed up at a location only to realize that the door was on the opposite side of the building, and that I needed to walk around an entire block of houses to get to the front door, because the architects of this town are a bunch of freaks who care more about a town being "like a living organism" than being, you know, actually convenient to live in. You can't climb and your jump is laughably low, so small obstacles like stacked boxes, shrubs, or low fences become impassable. You have an in-game map that shows your location (thank god, the game would be unplayable otherwise) but it's sometimes just straight up wrong!! Your map often doesn't take fences into account, and sometimes displays gaps between houses that don't actually exist, making you re-evaluate your whole route and waste precious time backtracking. Likewise, occasionally you come across a shortcut or gap in a fence that wasn't marked on your map, which makes you feel like an idiot for all the time you've wasted taking the long way around on previous trips.

It all really makes you feel like an outsider, like you're in an unfamiliar town that wasn't built for you and has no intentions of catering to your needs. And the more you play the game, the more you get used to the odd layout and start to plan your trips accordingly and take advantage of little shortcuts feels very organic. And by the time you get around to playing as Artemy, you've probably already gotten ahold of the layout and it feels a lot more plausible that you could have grown up here and become familiar with the town's quirks.

5 years later, I checked the achievements page on a whim, and as of right now: only 17.2% of players survived past the first day. You contributed to 4% more resilience in the gamer populace. Well done, dude.

I'd like to point out, the egg in question is a Quail egg. Quail eggs are about 1/3 of the size of a chicken egg. No wonder they hardly do anything for your hunger

Gonna be completely honest, I did not have Pathologic 3 on my 2026 bingo card, and even if I did, I wouldn't have expected it only a week into the year
