  Hello, I&apos;m from Czechia, Europe, and I&apos;ve been to the US twice. I was really surprised by how incredibly car-based your life can be and I agree that it&apos;s often at the expense of the beauty and use value of your cities.<br>I remember one situation that symbolizes it all for me. I was waiting for a bus with a friend in Kona, Hawaii. And since there was a McDonald&apos;s nearby, we decided to buy some snacks in the meantime. To our surprise, they told us at the door that they were &quot;drive-thru only&quot; today. So, like pantomime actors, we stood between the cars and pretended to hold the steering wheels with our hands and to simulate the sounds of the engines. It seemed absurd to us, but at least we entertained the people around us.

  I saw the title and said to myself &quot;Good, a video about Robert Moses&quot;. &nbsp;I am shocked that I was right but I am old enough to have lived through some of this decline, in New York specifically.

  The fact that he kept making private funds for himself inside existing systems and got away with it is crazy. How did his swim team catch it but New York somehow missed it.

  My city Santiago de Chile was cut in two by a highway in the seventies. One half declined and never recovered

  Now that i watch this, i&apos;m realizing that history now in the mid to late 2020&apos;s is repeating itself almost identically to the 1910&apos;s and 1920&apos;s.
