  This was good.  My Mom is from Overton.  Her great grandfather was Edward Bunker Mormon founder of Bunkerville, NV.   Her family got to Overton by way of St. Thomas demise.  Many of my genealogy are buried in the St Thomas cemetery relocated in Overton.  I grew up knowing this story of St.Thomas while water skiing in Lake mead over St. Thomas in the 70’s.  I learned a lot from this. Thanks it was fun.

  You express sympathy for the loss these people felt, which is appreciated.  Loss of community as well as loss of home must have been so great!  Warmth and kindness is rare now.  Thx for a fine job.

  my dad took me on this trip on his motorcycle the first time i ever went to vegas and it changed me as a person. this area and the valley of fire is my favourite place on earth. thank you for sharing, steve <3

  Hi from a Brit who has been living in Romania since 2010.<br>There was a similar situation in the north of England a few years ago after a protracted drought. The extremely low water level uncovered a village at the bottom of a reservoir which supplied water to Manchester. It became quite a tourist attraction and I&apos;ve seen several videos on YouTube. The walls and foundations of a manor house, a farm, some cottages and a church were revealed. There was even some narrow gauge track from the railway which was built to carry materials during construction of the dams, Ladybower and Derwent. The latter is famous for being where the Avro Lancasters practised before going on the Dambusters raids. When the reservoirs were first being filled the top of a church tower stuck out of the water but it was later blown up for safety reasons because people were swimming out to the tower. Two or three road bridges were also visible when the water level was at its lowest.

  Steve, your videos just get better and better, from visuals to editing to the substantial historical research. One thing I realized halfway through this one was the absence of background music. I&apos;ve always appreciated your choice of lyrical, unobtrusive music, but your videos are outstanding even without it. Bravo!

  Your videos are great. &nbsp;Kind of melancholy for me. 20 years ago I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of miles out there on motorcycle taking photos for magazines and calenders. &nbsp;I miss it, but thanks for the great virtual tours.💙🤘

  My grandparents lived there. Once in the mid to late 50’s the town emerged from the lake and I walked it with family. I remember that there were still many walls standing. I was just a youngster so memories are vague but I think even a broken wagon. An uncle was involved with the collection of artifacts that went to the lost city museum. As an adult and scuba diver I inquired about diving on it but was told there’s nothing there worth seeing.<br>I enjoy all your videos. You really research things well and present in a wonderful way. Thanks!

  Another great presentation. My ancestors came into AZ through the St Thomas area in 1877 and down Detrital Valley. BTW, your “fish” joke has a double meaning: one of the most prominent AZ pioneer families coming down from Utah was named Fish. One last point as an AZ desert rat: this episode shows how quickly greasewood and willow reemerge, even after the land was flooded for decades.

  He waited until it was the last moment. &nbsp;Lol. That guys a legend. My great great grandparents raised their kiddos there. My great granny Verna Chadburn grew up there, met and married my great GPA Heber Tobiasson here! They &nbsp;moved to Logandale when the water got too close. &nbsp;She watched it all happen. &nbsp;It&apos;s amazing to me that the desert has reclaimed itself. &nbsp;A few buildings were hauled by mule to Overton and are still there 😊 Gentry is pronounced JEN-try. &nbsp;These are my roots. ❤ My grandparents still live in the home they built in Logandale after they started a family. We are still kicking around this dusty old desert. 😊❤ This video was done beautifully. &nbsp;Thank you!

  I went to school in Las Vegas and mre than once, I remember the whole class being taken to Overton and that museum. &nbsp;The boys always wanted to get into the pit house. &nbsp;This probably the late 60&apos;s. &nbsp;Thanks for the memories.
