One observation: Those expensive power stations can be charged by portable solar panels, by the 12 volt output of a car battery, or by a generator. In that sense, they are just like any other battery. And power stations are very convenient and easy to use and store. Smaller units cost just a few hundred dollars . . . nothing even close to numbers with a comma. Your video has lots of useful information, but power stations have their place if someone has the money for one and is isn't particularly handy with tools or do-it-yourself projects. You do make a number of good points and could save many folks a lot of money if they're handy and have some time.

I bought 2 Bluetti boxes (elite 100 v2 & elite 400). I'm also building a DIY box all using LiFeP04 units (12v-314ah battery; 80 amp battery charger; 3000w pure sine wave inverter; 80a mppt solar charge controller. I put my faith on my DYI unit because each piece is replaceable. I have 3 Renogy solar blankets (2-400w, 1-200w) All placed in a Craftsman 30 gallon rolling tool chest. 😊

I built a system with 2,400 watts of 12 solar panels, a charge controller and 4 48 volt 100 Ah Lithium Golf Cart Batteries and a 48 to 120 volt 5,000 watt inverter. I going to add more batteries when my budget allows. It powers my refrigerator, small deep freezer. I use my 1,200 watt microwave and my 1,400 watt air fryer when needed.

They didn't try to sell me a 'brand'! They just gave pretty decent advice. I think I feel a warm fuzzy coming on ;~)

I have a moderate battery bank and leave a 1 watt solar panel connected for one day per month simply to maintain the sealed lead battery fully charged. I have a bigger panel to recharge the battery after use!

Okay keeping a CPAP running on a 12 volt battery is a good idea but one the one from my CPAP company is close to 3 hundred dollars and the one sold by my dealer is around 40 dollars and no one can or will tell me what's different I can buy regulated power supply that will keep the voltage at an even 12 volts because I now know that a 12 volt battery is actually 14.8 and should not be discharged below 12 volt

In June I started building a 12 Volt DC generator. I have a 2 wheel dolly. I bought a steel plate sized to fit between the side rails. I bought a 1 cylinder diesel engine. I bought a 12 V DC car alternator. I plan on purchasing a 12 VDC deep cycle battery. I got a V belt pulley that fits the engine. The engine came with a pulley. I have built a "dashboard' that has a voltmeter and a tach in it. I bought a lawn mower throttle control lever. I have more welding to do. It is coming along.
