Wonderful documentary! I absolutely love the blackbirds, they do the most beautiful singing. Life would be boring and dull without them!

I live in rural Australia and I love our native songbirds without measure, but I have a special place in my heart for our introduced blackbirds who migrate to our local area during Spring and early Summer. Nothing compares to the heart-stopping beauty of a Blackbird's call, and I look forward to their return every year!

Excellent video, thank you. I adore Blackbirds. I had a resident Blackbird in my garden for two years and he raised at least one little one each year. My heart broke this summer, when I returned home to find that he had been killed by a cat.
My little garden always has shelter, fresh water and food. Perhaps his descendants will find me one day.

As a child there was a female blackbird who came to our garden all the time and would scratch on the kitchen doorstep and come in for little treats of cheese, not a lot as it’s not really good for them. She also got up close to my Dad when he was digging to get the worms and managed to stay safe. Dad had picked up a baby blackbird that fell out of the nest years before. Maybe it was the same one 🐦‍⬛Thanks Liam, absolutely lovely video. Take care ❤️👩🏼

 Very interesting and informative video.
I have told people about blackbirds having regional dialects but everyone thinks I'm being daft, so it's nice to hear you say that it is a fact.

I love all your videos Liam, they are so concise and informative.
One interesting fact is that blackbirds appear to disappear from the garden in September. They shed their main feathers and are unable to fly so they remain hidden until their new feathers have formed and they are able to escape predators again!
