It's insane how much great music the Beatles recorded in just seven years. From 1963 to 1970 they released 13 studio albums. They are the best-selling music act of all time, with estimated sales of 600 million units worldwide. They hold the record for most number-one albums on the UK Albums Chart (15), most number-one hits on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart (20), and most singles sold in the UK (21.9 million).

John wanted to leave because he was in love with Yoko and wasn't interested in being in a boys-only club anymore, and wanted to go in a different musical direction. George wanted to leave because he felt that he'd been held back for years because the majority of the Beatles songs were Lennon-McCartney songs and he wanted more creative freedom. Paul agreed to leave because he didn't like what the band's new management was doing with their finances and believed that he would be more successful on his own. Ringo had aspirations of acting and going into Hollywood, so he was okay with it. But more importantly, the four of them had all grown up and now had lives of their own and needed to move on.

I've always wanted to just simply say thank you Mr.McCartney for ALL the fantastic music! Thank You! And what I love most about Paul is his humility.

I remember as a kid hearing the Beatles for the first time (I Wanna Hold your Hand, She Love You) and was overwhelmed by the ear appeal.  It was magical.

Extraordinary how down to earth and regular he is after what he went through.
