The use of Faye's music from the previous God of War is beautifully done in this game.

"The culmination of love is grief."

This line hits me so hard that I'm brought to tears. I'll always remember this line from now on every time I experience grief from the loss of a loved one.

6:09 Faye's whole speech is some Academy Award winning-level writing right there. FUCK this game was so incredibly damn good.

Laufey was the complete opposite of her husband, Kratos. And this contrast in the game's lore actually made it more unique and breathe new character development for our aging God of War and his son Atreus.

If you notice this was the first time Kratos didn't wake up like it was a nightmare. Notice how before this in his other dream sequences he wakes up in a panic or anger. As if he didn't want to wake up because he wanted to there with Faye more. But this was the first time where Kratos slept peacefully and happily woke up.

I think that Faye's final lesson to Katos was right there, telling him to grieve deeply is to have loved fully in life and to know that if you open your heart to the world and all it has, then you find every reason to keep living in it more.

But to also know her final wish was for Atreus to walk his own path because he has such potential to open his heart to others and suffering; he can find ways to understand and connect to others on a level even Kratos cannot understand yet.
