  I had so much fun visiting Salvador Bahia during Carnival and talking to all the friendly locals about their city! The Afro-Brazilian culture is strong in this part of Brazil and more people should visit!!   I have been to Salvador as an African, and it shocked me. Very emotioal experience for me. Although my first ever experience of authentic Afro-Brazilian culture was in Rio de Janeiro, Salvador was a whole new level.

  Coincidence or not, you met the man in the yellow cap and he is known as &quot;Vovô do Ilê&quot; &nbsp;(Ilê&apos;s Grandpa). One of the greatest percussion masters and founder of &quot;Ilê Aiyê&quot;, the first and oldest Afro Carnival block in Salvador.

  I will visit Brazil soon, especially, Salvador da Bahia. As an African, it will be a dream come true. I&apos;m learning Brazilian Portuguese to make my visit interactive with locals. Thank you for the beautiful visuals and presentation.

  My sweetheart is from Salvador Da Bahia 🥰 and I absolutely love when I am there. The Barra and Old Towne area are so fun.

  I’m on my way to Salvador next week! I visited Rio 10 years ago for my first ever solo trip and to changed my life. As a Nigerian woman I was so shocked to see the Yoruba influence, I know it’s even stronger in Salvador I’m so hype ❤😊
