I've done some hand painting of locos using quality acrylic paints and good brushes. I thin the paint a bit with water...the thinner the coat, the less chance for unwanted lumps or marks. If done right, your results should be as good as the spray jobs. Ive been very satisfied with this process. Nice work on this video.

Ha! You invented a new eggcorn: “icy propyl alcohol”. It fits!

Nice little units! They came out pretty good. I thought HO scale was small, N is next level!

First thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail is "that's not a Western Maryland paint scheme...". The second thing I thought was "oh sure you can make your own decals for HO..." Then you picked up the loco... 😂

You have an incredibly patient and steady hand. That is the art I love seeing in this hobby. I'm looks ng to do the same with similar locomotives. You've given me inspiration. Good luck!

I’m glad to see someone using Cricuted decals! I’m tempted to learn to airbrush and wondered if I could cricut out a stencil to air brush my logo onto a locomotive. It’s nice to see it can cut well enough for N scale, as I do HO. I’ll have to try it

If memory serves, the round fans on top are for the radiators and the grills on the sides are air-intakes.
